This is a handmade set of Tibetan dragon etched tingshas. Imported from Nepal and picked for their clear, long, penetrating tones.
The dragon is a symbol of power, strength and protection. It is believed that their thunderous voice awakens us from delusion. When the two cymbals are struck together, the tingsha creates a beautiful clear ringing sound.
Tingshas have been used by Tibetan Buddhists for centuries to mark the beginning and end of meditation and as a way to clear space.
Attached with leather cord, you can chime by either slightly tapping them together for a soft sound or holding the leather cord at its center and swinging the chimes together for a louder sound. This contact creates a sound perfectly suited to calling awareness into the present moment, while clearing and focusing the mind before and after meditation.
A wonderful addition to any healing, spiritual or meditative practice, tingshas will help you to awaken your spirit and bring peacefulness into your mind and body.
Made of an alloy of bronze, iron and zinc. 2.5-3″ in diameter
